COLLECTOR’S FIELD GUIDE
Sharing & privacy
Quick answers for your next collection.
What becomes public when I share content?
You control each collectible proof’s Public/Private setting. Public proofs can display their image and public properties to visitors and can be shared by link. Private proofs remain owner-only. Source Items have their own visibility setting; crop metadata and private fields are not shared automatically. Review personal details before publishing.
Why is my handle shown on a collectible I contributed?
Public catalog contributions require separate rights in the photograph and any depicted artwork, plus the permanent contribution license and public @handle attribution. Owning a physical item or taking its photo does not grant rights to its artwork. Protected postmarks require written permission or public-domain evidence and staff review. Approved contributions may remain public after ordinary account cancellation. Private proof uploads are a separate workflow and do not grant public-display rights. Statutory erasure and rights or privacy takedowns remain separate processes.
How do I report a problem with public content?
Use Report content on the relevant page, sign in, choose a reason and add details that help the team identify the issue. If no report control is available, contact collatlas@collatlas.com with the page link and a description. A report is submitted for review; it does not immediately remove the content or guarantee a particular outcome.
