1. Service and operator
CollAtlas is a beta service for building location lists, joining quests, recording visits and publishing selected field notes. Operator: [OWNER TO PROVIDE LEGAL NAME AND ADDRESS]. Support: [OWNER TO PROVIDE SUPPORT EMAIL].
2. Accounts and acceptable use
You must provide accurate account information, protect your session and follow local laws. Do not trespass, create unsafe routes, impersonate others, upload unlawful material, manipulate ratings or use the service to track another person.
3. Maps and places
Features that use Google Maps or Google place data are also subject to the Google Maps Platform Terms and Google Privacy Policy . Place details can change; verify access, hours and safety before visiting.
4. Quests, location and proof
Quests are community-created suggestions, not professional travel or safety advice. Browser check-ins are low-assurance evidence: a short-lived server challenge verifies freshness but cannot attest physical presence. They can record ordinary progress but cannot unlock partner rewards. Precise check-in coordinates and original proof files are private verification material and are not included in a public visit. Public visits show only minimized completion details that you submit for publication.
5. Your content and translation
Place and collectible-location records prioritize government or lawful open data under compatible licences, with provenance and licence details retained. You retain ownership of your lists, quest text, comments and uploads. A POI catalog collectible requires separate, unchecked confirmations that you own or may license it; grant CollAtlas a permanent, irrevocable licence to host, display and preserve it, including after ordinary account cancellation, except when statutory erasure or a rights, privacy, illegality or safety takedown requires removal; and accept public @handle attribution linked to your contributor page. Catalog and collection leaderboard participation is a separate optional choice. Collection proof media and item-level records remain private; any public ranking exposes only an opted-in aggregate and is not verification of presence or ownership. Automatic translations may be inaccurate; the original remains authoritative.
6. Publication and moderation
Private drafts remain private. Shared items from creator-badged accounts may publish automatically; other submissions require review. Decisions and comments are retained in an audit history. We reject or take down unauthorized, infringing, illegal, privacy-invasive, unsafe, deceptive or abusive content. A collectible takedown hides it immediately and deletes its source and any unshared public derivative while retaining redacted decision metadata.
7. Membership and payment
Free-account limits and paid entitlements are shown before purchase. Payments and billing portals are operated by the configured payment provider. Renewal, cancellation, refunds, taxes and regional consumer rights must be finalized in the checkout terms. Billing descriptor: [OWNER TO PROVIDE].
8. Beta availability and liability
The beta may change or be interrupted. To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided without guarantees about route safety, place accuracy, translations or uninterrupted availability. Governing law and mandatory consumer disclosures: [OWNER TO PROVIDE JURISDICTION-SPECIFIC TERMS].
9. Suspension, deletion and contact
Accounts may be suspended for abuse or risk. Ordinary account cancellation disables the account and hides personal profile details, but approved, expressly licensed collectible contributions remain public with the reserved @handle and a read-only cancellation notice. Cancellation is not personal-data erasure. You may request export or statutory deletion at [OWNER TO PROVIDE PRIVACY EMAIL]; applicable deletion can take down and anonymize those contributions. Some restricted moderation, security, billing and legal records may be retained where required.
